Analytics

Downloads, server pulls, sign-ups and search on one time axis. Each section names the day its own source last finished.

Overview

The figures that say whether things are moving. Each links to its own section in the sidebar.

Search

Google and Bing combined, against the same span before it. Search performance has the daily detail.

Downloads

Desktop installers — the hosted app and the FOSS build — per day, per release, and by channel.

Server pulls

The self-hosted server, which ships only as a container image.

SaaS accounts

Sign-ups and sign-ins on the hosted service.

Site traffic

Every request Cloudflare served for the project's zones.

Search performance

How people find the site — search data through , Google and Bing combined. Google finishes a day about three days late, so the most recent days keep moving.

Impressions per day

How often a result was shown — a different scale from clicks, so a separate chart.

Average position — Google

Lower is better — the axis is inverted.

Google only: Bing's daily series has no position, and positions from two engines cannot be averaged into one.

Channels and AI

What kind of search found the site: ordinary queries, the brand, rank trackers, and AI assistants.

Search channels

Impressions per week by channel, both engines together; weeks run Friday–Thursday because that is how Bing reports them. Organic is ordinary human search — the only bar that means reach. Brand is demand you already earned. Domain is the bare address searched repeatedly with no clicks, which is a rank tracker rather than a visitor. Assistant-shaped questions are left out here and have their own section below. These are heuristics over the query text, not a dimension either engine reports — see docs/SEARCH_CONSOLE_ANALYTICS.md before concluding anything from them.

AI assistant questions

Queries phrased as prose — eight words or more, or six ending in a question mark — which people rarely type and assistants grounding an answer (Copilot, ChatGPT search, Gemini) do. They surface as impressions near the top and are almost never clicked, so read them as questions the site was considered for, not as visitors. Google hides far more of these than Bing does — see how much of each engine's traffic has a query at all, under Search channels. Kept apart from both engines' search totals above so they do not pass for reach. A heuristic over the query text, not a label either engine provides.
